VTS presets confusion on my Spark Trixx

I am riding my 2017 Spark Trixx 2up, I noticed the VTS skipped instead of adjusting click-by-click, the dealer replaced the IBR module, and it was really an expensive fix, and only to learn it's "normal." Why do these presets exist, and can they be disabled or adjusted manually?

The presets are for safety and control, especially for the lesser experienced owners. As far as I know, there isn't a way to disable it, at least not easily. There are some aftermarket vts options or ecu flashed that can give you greater control and you won't have to worry about the warranty.

Thanks! That helps, I just wish I knew before spending so much. I'll look into the ECU flash or aftermarket options, it would be great to have finer control without the preset jumps

your dealer is actually right, the 'skipping' or preset adjustment on a 2017 (and newer) Spark Trixx VTS is 100% normal and by design!
The Trixx model specifically has an extended range VTS that works differently than the standard VTS on other Sea-Doos. Instead of tiny, continuous adjustments, the Trixx's VTS is designed to quickly jump between a few pre-defined, more extreme trim angles. This is crucial for doing tricks like wheelies and sharp turns, where you need rapid, big trim changes
