I'm new here 'cause I just found out that I recently bought a stolen JetSki Spark
I'm in Virginia now, and just dropped some coin on a Jet Ski Spark from Canada, and wouldn't you know it, the VIN code's been wiped clean off the body!

So, what's the play now? Is calling the cops the best bet?
Turns out this thing was stolen since 2017! Talk about a can of worms! Any advice would be a lifesaver.

You should also reach out to the Virginia Dept. of Wildlife Resources because they take care of boat registrations. Keep all your purchase papers close. You got me by the title of your post! Man, that is crazy! How did you find out that it was stolen? Anyway, I agree with @SparkWaveRider, reporting it to authorities is crucial! Having any documentation from your purchase will be important, even if it's just the seller's contact info or where you met!

Okay, don't take this the wrong way but I have to ask, why didn'y you ask for photos or something like that. I get it, I've been excited about buying stuff, but I'm always looking for proof.

The recommendations you got are good, but I think you might also want to talk to a lawyer, just in case. You'll never know which way this is going to go.
