noticed something weird

i was on my sea adventure with my 2019 sea doo spark trixx and after i jumped a few small waves i noticed a slight drop in power. There were no warning lights, and the engine sounded slightly sluggish but other than that it was normal. i found some weeds wrapped to the impeller, cleaned it and it kinda seemed a bit better but not a 100% better. Anyone had the same experience? any advice would be appreciated.

Happened to me on a buddy's Spark last summer. Cleared weeds but power still felt soft, turned out the wear ring got nicked. I'd check yours for damage and make sure the impeller's not dinged up too. A worn ring or small debris in there can kill performance fast. Easy fix though if that's the case

oh that scks, I had the same issue before. when weeds get in there, they can sometimes stretch or damage the wear ring—the plastic ring around the impeller. even a small nick can let water slip past the impeller instead of being pushed out, which drops your power.
Grab a flashlight and look at the gap between the impeller blades and the wear ring. If the gap looks uneven or you see any nicks, that's your culprit

While as both members above mentioned to check for debris and the wear ring, I wouldn't cross off coincidence as the issue and check the fueling system. It may not be it, but I'm just trying to be helpful.

Hey @Roosty, sounds like you’re on the right track cleaning the weeds, but like others said, the wear ring is the usual culprit after that kind of debris. Definitely inspect the impeller itself too. Look for dings or chips. Also, @Aquaboy makes a good point. If the wear ring and impeller check out fine, it’s worth glancing at the fuel system. Clogged injectors or fuel filters can make the engine feel sluggish without triggering any warnings.
